For this reason, the CFPCM certification marks were introduced in 1972 and were designed to meet two practical objectives:
1. Assure that the public receives objective financial planning advice; and
2. Reassure the public that CFPCM certificants voluntarily adhere to the highest standards of competence and ethical practice.
Combined with the rigorous CFPCM certification requirements, the CFPCM marks are considered financial planning's highest standard worldwide and are the most widely recognized marks in financial planning.
IFPHK is authorized by the Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB) to be the sole licensing body for granting the CFPCM marks to qualified practitioners in Hong Kong and Macau.
